What's Your Aura? Catching Up with Lemon Box Beauty Model Aurora Usai

Remember that photoshoot for Lemon Box Beauty? Well, guess what? We went behind the scenes once again, this time with the lovely Aurora Usai, one of the faces bringing the brand to life! 

Aurora shared the delightful details about her experience so get ready to feel inspired – her story is all about embracing new adventures and discovering self. 

Shot Perspective: Boujee. Don't let the smile fool you. Aurora comes off as quiet and classy but up close, she gives beauty assassin. During the shoot I couldn't help but notice that Aurora was holding back. It’s like at any moment; she has the power to... There’s something very special about this one.

Stepping into the Spotlight and Feeling the Hype: 

For Aurora, stepping onto the Lemon Box Beauty set was a positive experience.  

"During the shoot I felt super comfortable and confident," she shared. What made it even better was the incredible support from the Lemon Box Beauty team. A reoccurring theme! 

"I think y'all were super friendly and really hyped me up in order for me to feel confident modeling for the first time." A surprise, at no point did we see a lack of confidence. Aurora felt completely at ease throughout the day. “A professional but fun environment." Sounds like the perfect blend for creativity to flourish. 

When asked for three words to describe the shoot, Aurora didn't hesitate:  

"Chill, fun, organized!"   

A dream collaboration! 

Discovering a Love for the Lens: 

Aurora's experience was more than just a photoshoot; it was an open door to self-discovery.  

"I learned that I actually really love modeling," she exclaimed. This might come as a surprise, as she admitted, "I used to not be super confident in photos, but this photo session helped me boost confidence in myself."  

It's amazing what a supportive environment and a little encouragement can do!

She even found a favorite pose!  

"One of the poses that I loved trying out was the one with my leg up. I wasn’t sure of how the photo would come out but once I saw it on IG, I loved it!"  

Sometimes taking a little risk pays off beautifully! 

And the style of the day? A perfect match!  

"I liked the outfits that y'all helped me choose and feel that it fit well with the intended vibes." When you feel good in what you're wearing, it truly shines through!

More Than Meets the Eye:  

Aurora's venture into modeling was sparked by a natural curiosity.  

"What sparked my interest in modeling is that I love taking photos of myself and was curious to see how others would capture me in photos."  

"Outside of modeling I love acting, I’m a theatre major at TAMUCC."  

Get ready for a star on the rise! She also prioritizes self-care, enjoying "Working out, spending time outdoors or with friends and family." 

"One thing people don’t know about me is that I speak 3 languages! English, Italian and Spanish:)"  

Talk about impressive!

The Glossary: Strength and Confidence

"The thing I’m most proud about in life so far is pushing through even when I don’t feel like it, whether it’s with school, work, or my emotions. I’m learning how to do it all as I go."  

That's a powerful message of perseverance, plus her definition of confidence is simple and true:  

"Confidence means loving who you are on the inside and outside!" It all starts with self-acceptance. 

Inspiration and Living Authentically: 

When asked about dream destinations, Aurora's artistic spirit shines bright.  

"If I could travel anywhere in the world, it would be New York City. It’s a city that has always called to me as an artist." We can already picture her thriving in the Big Apple! 

 Looking up to a true icon.  

"I admire Selena Quintanilla. It’s clear that she was a beautiful person both inside and outside. She had a radiant personality, she was kind, and she is a big inspiration for many Latinos." Legend here in Corpus Christi TX. 

For Aurora, finding joy is often found in life's simplest beauty. "One thing that brings me joy is spending time in nature, whether it’s a sunny day at the beach or watching a sunset." Sometimes the most grounding moments are found in the natural world. 

And her personal philosophy is a comforting reminder:  

"A personal philosophy I live by is that everything that’s meant for me will always find me no matter what."

Trusting the journey is key!

Days leading up to the shoot, I vividly remember seeing Aurora’s photos that were submitted. Without critique, I immediately noticed her facial structure.
